The Shattering of Nerves

Good morning everyone. I am all suited up. No I don't mean in card terms. I mean I am dressed to the nines today... I don't get that saying. Dressed to the nines. Anyways. There is a wine and cheese convention today at the Marriot Courtyard. I think I mentioned it yesterday. I get to drink free and expensive wine. Also, today is Jimmy's birthday. So I want all of you to remember to wish a happy birthday to my heterosexual life mate. He is a great man and may he live another twenty three years or so. I have almost known the boy for ten years now. It makes me feel old knowing anyone for that long. Just please God let me die before I can say I have known someone for fourty years or so. No one should ever know another human being that long. There are too many other people in the world to know. Let me see a show of hands who thinks I am gonig to love another fourty years. I don't see any. Well I don't think I will either. That would be until the ripe old age of 63. Not even until retirement age technically. Though I don't get the point of retirement. You will be too old to enjoy the freeedoms you would have. You would have enjoyed them far more as a youngun. That reminds me of a George Carlin quote. I will put it on here. Hold the fort. Alright here is the quote for you all.

"The most unfair thing about life is the way it ends. I mean, life is tough. It takes up a lot of your time. What do you get at the end of it? A death. What’s that, a bonus? I think the life cycle is all backwards. You should die first, get it out of the way. Then you live in an old age home. You get kicked out when you’re too young, you get a gold watch, you go to work. You work forty years until you’re young enough to enjoy your retirement. You do drugs, alcohol, you party, and you get ready for high school. You go to grade school, you become a kid, you play, you have no responsibilities, you become a little baby, you go back into the womb, you spend your last nine months floating… you finish off as an orgasm."

-George Carlin

Haha. Genius. The man's social insight is great and funny. I bet you he has a constant running dialogue in his head that anyone would pay a million dollars to know. Cynical, logical, and a little bit cruel of humour. But it makes you nod your head and think "that is so true." I don't know if anyone is into Bill Hicks. But he is another fucking hilarious comedian. I think he might even be more offensive then Carlin. Especially when it comes to religion. Jesus Christ does he rip that organization a new asshole and mail order it to them express style buttered in virgins period blood. It is harsh trust me. I got into a debate with someone today. There is a discussion board on Facewbook that I started on DMT. Then the moderator of the group (all of them are fucknig assholes) Told me I was a weak minded pussy because I did drugs and that he is happy just smoknig some turkish strong and pounding back a brew. He opened himself up there. Because alcohol and nicotine and alcohol are drugs.

I even pulled them up off of the drug dictionary to prove it to him. Then told him not to follow up stupid statements with the drugs he prefers to do after being absolutist against them. Naive fuckwads. Then I decided to remind him to that caffeine and nicotine are the two most addictive drugs there are. And they are both legal. Also I decided to let him know that more people die from nicotine and alcohol every year then any other drug. By a long shot. It isn't even a close race with heroine or cocaine or anything. Then guess what the fucker did! Randomly deleted posts of mine here and there. Then the conversation didn't make sense so much and I just looked like an idiot. Haha. Talk about abuse of power huh? The interwebs makes me laugh these days. Everyone has huge testicles behind a keyboard. I can be guilty of it just as much as others sometimes. But sometimes I feel like it is peoples lives. That is all they do. But that is alright. I am sure I am getting laid more then them. Haha. Actually I am quite sure.

Their profile pictures show that well at least one of them is middle aged and balding and has nothing going for him but this. God bless the fucking internet. Even losers can be king shits every now and then. I think that is probably a good thing. They can take out all their repressed anger on me because I am such a good target. Especially when I am being an arrogant asshole because I am right. But better than them going into a school and shooting kids or something. Oh and a word of advice to you idiots who have your addresses on facebook. Take them off. I didn't realize until a little while ago that my address was on there. I took it out right away. I was talking about art with Will just right now which is why I had paused with this for about an hour. I was talking about how restrictions in art is what makes art better in my opinion. Applying universal rules to it. For example while playing a guitar you can only hit so many notes a second and can only do certain running patterns that your fingers can reach. Restricted by physics to only being able to do so much.

I also mentioned Christian Bok who does restrictive technical poetry. He did five stanzas of a poem. Each stanza was written with words that only contain the one vowel so first stanza contained words with only the vowel a. then e and i and o and u. But he also made the rule that he had to use ever word in the english language that were like that. So in the first stanza he used only words that contained a as a vowel. but he used every word in the english language that only contained a. And also continued that throughout the other four vowels and stanzas. Now he likes electronica and some other music as an art. My argument against electronica is the fact that there aren't really retrictions on it. You can make any note pattern possible because a program can do it and you don't actually have to physically play what you are creating. It would be like if guitarists just gave up guitar and just started writing all with midi because it is faster and no restrictions. Haha. That has always been my argument against electronica. There are no restrictions to it whatsoever.

Anything is possible for anyone. Anyone can throw anything together and make it music. Not everyone does. Some people can even suck at it believe it or not. But the better musician will always be the artist who makes art under common restrictions where technique and general skill have to be practiced over and over to achieve what you want and where some things are just impossible. But because there is always something impossible, is why there is always something to achieve. Hence the advancement in music.Kris was showing me stuff him and Mark and Keith had written with midi. They were better than the best guitarists in the world with it. Of course! It is electronic sounds that you place on a digital fret board. They will probably not ever achieve that kind of level of musicianship on a real guitar. Because that is where the real challenge lies. Anyways, I am being distracted again. My Grandma is stripping in front of me and I forgot my video camera. Hope you all have as lovely day as I am having right now. Cheers!
