Fermented Offal Discharge

Good morning kids. I just discovered the beauty of having the arm rests of your computer chair in line with the keyboard. That way I can rest my elbows on my arms of the chair and there is a lot less pressure on my wrists to support my arm. Check out the band "The Faceless" kids. Seriously. Go do it now. I will wait for you to come back...

Alright. Now if you are listening to it as a sound track for my blog you can now get into more the space that I was in while writing this. But seriously. They are incredible. I didn't know2 much about them at all. But when I saw them on Monday. Jesus fuck did they blow my mind with their compositional skills and technical merit. They were really creative and innovative musicians. All things that need to be in music for me to like it. Unfortunately all those things are endangered species in most music.

But believe it or not, there are plenty of reqlly fucking talented musicians out there. You just got to look really hard. Or you just have to know where yo look. I am telling you. Metal has an insane conglamorate of some of the most talented musicians in the world. It is going to be hard to go to the show I just saw to Summerfolk which will have some of the most garbage musicians you could ask for. But in the end, I am not going for the music. I am going to see people that I love and to crash drum circles haha. You all know how much I hate drum circles. I will be right back. I smell the scent of coffee finished being brewed. I have also been listening to this band called "Nevermore". They have a singer and it is very epic cheesy metal at times. But fuck are they technical. I slept in today until 11. But I was up pretty fucking late last night compared to what I am usually up to. I was talking to Jaime for a few hours on the phone until one or two or some shit. But I do closing shift today so it doesn't matter. It was weird weather here yesterday. Foggy, rainy, cold, humid, etc.

Today seems kind of odd out too. So I am not really sure how today will be. It keeps getting foggy than sunny. Kind of tempted to go for a walk. Which I probably will do before too long. Haha. Will Bustin is distracting me again. He messaged me to tell me he had a free ticket to Summer Slaughter Tour and turned it down. Just to piss me off. Haha. Fucker. Mind blowing that man. He has gotten into weird electronic music and has very e3clectic taste. i still resapect his taste. It isn't my kind of music. But it is very interesting nonetheless. I listens to Will's electronic music all the time. It of course still has metal gore influences. It has probably taken me twenty minutes to write the last three lines of this. You guys would never know if I didn't tell you. Or maybe you would. Maybe my writing is disjointed when I am distracted. Well it obviously is. But what makes it disjointed is me pointing out that I am distracted. So maybe if I just didn't tell you guys you would never know. If you guys want to hear some interesting sub-genres of metal, here are a couple.

Egyptian themed metal. Listen to the band Nile. It is good. Whatever music and tones you imagine coming from Egypt is in the music. Also, Viking metal. Listen to Amon Amarth. You will know what "Viking Metal" means as soon as you hear it. there are so many sub-genres of metal. Power, Speed, Death, Brutal, Gore, Black, Viking, Egyptian, Melodic, Core etc. Most of them having positive elements. I myself generally listen to the Technical Death Metal. I hate Sludge Metal and all that shit. it is more environmental music where they strum really slow chords and hang them for a long time. Also really lame boring break downs. A lot of open D being played. Ugh. I shudder to think about it. The most interesting thing to ever happen in sludge metal is a screeching diminished chord every now and then. But it doesn't save it. It is really slow. Incredibly slow. I mean 40 BPM's sometimes. Most music I listen to is well over 200 BPM's. (Beats Per Minute Kids) I downloaded so much music yesterday. I use an amazing website. It links you to shit when you download stuff telling you what else people who downloaded this music, downloaded.

So I was downloading everything that I liked at the Tour and looking at the links to what else the people who listened to this downloaded. So I upped my power and speed metal collection. It has a lot of scaling whole notes. But fuck. They are very good. Tremalo picking pros. I think there are sections where they alt. pick. Which is by far the most efficient way that I have ever seen. Sweep picking is pretty good as well. But you are constricted to certain patterns and scales that way. Alt. picking allows you to experiment and wander the fret board more freely. I should pick up guitar instead of just learning about it. If Mark had moved here I would have gotten lessons from him. I hope he hates Sudbury and comes here. He told me he would teach me for free. He is fucking incredible so I would love him as a teacher. I have also discovered that metal heads know more about music than most other music listeners out there. That is the thing about metal. You need to know about music to appreciate it. People who don't know anything about music generally can't appreciate it.

They can't comprehend the talent they are hearing. A lot of times it is interpretted as white noise. Which it definately is not. Or my favourite line. "But it is so angry!" Haha. I hate those kids. Intensity is often mistaken for anger and violence. When really. It is just intense. Ahhh that smoke was amazing. It is getting really warm out today. I think I have to walk to the bus station today due to my Grandmother being out which is fine by me. I don't mind a good excuse to walk through the park. The park behind my house is gorgeous. A paved path around Lake Aquitaine. It is nice for roller blading. there is a nice half circle of a dock that goes out over the water. There is also a water park beside it with little nozzles that spray water out of the ground for the kids to play in. When I walk through it early in the morning there are always Asians doing Tai Chi. I don't know if I spelled that right. But you know what I am talking about. Anyways. I think I am done writing. Cheers kids!
